This was the design and manufacturing brief for the First 47.7
By once again combining Beneteau's wealth of knowledge and experience
with the talent of Bruce Farr, this 47 footer was duty bound to be an 
exceptional yacht: mission accomplished!
From its molded structure to its appendages, from the cabinet work to the 
deck plan, from the steering system to the sail plan and rigging, everything
has been designed in spirit with the desire of making the First 47.7  an
indisputable reference in the world of cruiser racing and offshore cruising.

Recent History
Brown Sugar was purchased by the current owner in 2010. Previously, the boat was located in Haverstraw, NY, which is brackish, not salt, water. Engine hours at the time of purchase was ~180 hours.
A lot of upgrades were done in 2018 for a trip to the Bahamas in December 2018, returning to Toronto in June 2019. Cruising since then has been on the Great Lakes. Since its return in 2019, the upgrades continued and Brown Sugar is fully capable of returning south, or east, or wherever the new owner wants to disappear over the horizon.
